"If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present" - Lao Tzu
I realize that no two people are the same, and as such, I tailor my counseling sessions to meet your specific needs. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or coping with a problem related to daily living, I can help you feel better again so that you can have a more peaceful and fulfilled life. I will help you understand underlying problems, fully realize your strengths, and adjust some of your behaviors and thoughts to see things a differently.

My practice specializes in the problems that older adults face along with major life transitions related to growing older, such as (re)marriage and divorce, relocation and downsizing, financial worries, retirement, illness and mobility concerns, caregiver challenges, changes with family dynamics, end-of-life decision making, losing a spouse, loneliness and isolation, and grief and bereavement. Although some older adults look forward to moving from middle age into their later years, it may be difficult for others to adjust. I will help you gather your courage, as well as acquire essential tools and resources, to get at the core of what is bothering you.
You may think it is a sign of weakness that you consider reaching out for professional help. On the contrary, it is a sign of strength that you realize something is amiss and that you are willing to think about making changes in your life. It is important to realize that you don’t have to struggle alone with your angst about a particular problem and that I can be your best and most important ally.
